Traveller Challenge

What is sustainability?

Sustainability seeks to ensure that our current actions and needs do not negatively impact the future of the following generations,  specially in the face of accelerated globalization. Therefore, sustainability is based on three fundamental pillars: environmental protection, social development and economic growth.

According to the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism, sustainability means that “the development of the country cannot be based on an excessive exploitation of resources (natural, cultural, social, etc.) to the point of exhausting them, or destroying them. Because this same resource base is the only platform, or potential asset, that future generations in this country have to satisfy their own needs.”

Will you take the Casitas Tenorio Sustainable Traveler Challenge?

We developed the sustainable Traveler Challenge as part of our commitment to sustainability.  We have developed a series of challenges for our guests that you can do during your stay and once you return home. During your stay we ask you to be as sustainable as possible.
